How to Recognise Gemini

The third sign of the zodiac Gemini is intelligent, imaginative, energetic, charismatic, communicative and witty. They are dual natured which means they have two opposite and distinct parts to their changeable personality. This makes them able to adapt well to new settings and make friends easily. Like Chameleons they blend in well with their environment but at the same time stand out with their wit and knowledge.

With a childlike fascination with the world and new experiences a Gemini is never boring to be with. Gemini's are quite talkative individuals, in fact complete chatterboxes. The talk is not rubbish though; you will find a Gemini's talk informative and very interesting. They can engage in intellectual conversations as well gossiping about less important stuff.

Geminis are optimistic people who make great companions or friends. They are the best people to approach for advice and will be generous if giving frank and honest advice. They have a way with words which means they can tell you some home truths without hurting your feelings.

On the down side, Gemini people are also restless, easily bored, and unable to concentrate on any one thing for a prolonged period of time. They easily get frustrated and impatient by things that move slowly. They can really sulk like a kid when things go against them though. In a split second they can become cynical, moody and quickly angered. Inseparable as two sides of a coin, those born under this sign can be dazzling and irresistible or inconstant and irrational. They are also fickle which is not intentional; it is their basic nature to be so.

Unless there is a conflicting ascendant the Gemini build is generally slender, agile and taller than most. Due to their love for talking, they spend less time eating which means generally they stay fairly slim and fit. They are also very flexible in both mind and body and love sports like gymnastics, bicycling, swimming, tennis and many others.

Other words that come to mind are versatile, adaptable, inquisitive, affectionate, courteous, kind, generous and thoughtful. A Gemini will always show these traits towards the poor and suffering as long as it doesn't interfere with their own personal lives.

Aeronautical Engineering

Work with one of the most technologically advanced branches of engineering. The aeronautical engineers are concerned with the design and construction, testing and operation as well as maintenance of aircraft and aircraft components.

The main thrust in this area is on design and development, which extends even to space and satellite research. It is an exciting field with scope for growth and job satisfaction. An aeronautical engineer needs to be physically fit and fully dedicated to his work.

Necessary Qualifications

Eligibility: 10 + 2 Science; high percentage of marks in Science subjects and qualifying exam (JEE)
To be an aeronautical engineer one should be a BE/B.Tech. in aeronautics. The Madras Institute of Technology offers a year postgraduate programme in aeronautical engineering for B.Sc. students. One can also study for M.Tech. and Ph.D. in aeronautics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Those who have passed the Associate membership exam conducted by ASI (Aeronautical Society of India), which is at par with a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering, can also become aeronautical engineers. It is possible to take a degree in electronics or physics to work in this field and leave more options open

Academic Programme

The Bachelor's degree programme stresses the fundamentals of propulsion, electronics, and automatic control guidance, theory of aerodynamics, structural analysis, material science, and fluid dynamics.

Job Opportunities

Work for an aeronautical engineer can be with airlines, particularly the government carriers, Air India, Indian Airlines, Pawan Hans, and aircraft manufacturers, Hindustan Aeronautical Ltd. and other organizations concerned with the aircraft industry.

There is limited scope in this branch of engineering, therefore, a large number take on work in R&D areas in the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Civil Aviation, in defense research laboratories, or civil aviation departments.
